Hand Dyed Tussah Silk Scarf

I made this lovely and versatile scarf using pure tussah silk and dyeing it with permanent procion dyes that actually bond to the fibers and yield excellent colorfastness.

All edges are serged with Egyptian cotton thread that accepts the procion dyes resulting in a yummy color embellishment on all sides.

Bali silver beads are sewn on each corner for a dash of subtle bling! My dye technique resulted in a gorgeous watercolor-like blending of many yummy tones.

Tussah silk is made from the shorter silk fibers and has the softest feel with a subtle nubby texture.

So comfortable all year round!
