This petite centerpiece is a sparkling blue Cubic Zirconia, which is a lab created gem.
Those of you who know me and my booth at Portland Saturday Market, know that I don't normally work with lab grown gems, but occasionally I buy them for custom orders, and sometimes they come in multiples, and that's the case here.

The Specifics:
The pendant is Cubic Zirconia aka CZ.
The gem beads Apatite, and London Blue Topaz.
The tiny seed beads are both Japanese and Czech glass in a variety of sizes.
The lobster clasp, and chain and crimp beads are the only metal on this piece, and they are Sterling Silver.

The pendant, including the beaded bail, is 3/4 inches long.
The centerpiece is 9/16 inches wide.
The necklace length is your choice: just choose your desired length from the drop-down menu, (up to 24 inches at no extra cost), plus I add a 1.5 inch extender chain on each piece.

Your new necklace comes packaged in a pretty, sturdy cardboard gift box, with cotton padding.
I will ship your new necklace First Class, via USPS, for free
with insurance and tracking.

How it's made:
The setting is made of tiny glass seed beads, which are hand stitched, one bead to the next, with a fine beading needle, using a heavy-duty 6 lb test, spun, braided, nylon beading thread. There are multiple plies of this thread in every bead! I start making a netting to form the back side of the bezel, and then, while holding the stone in place, I sew one bead at a time around the perimeter of the cabochon, slowly building the beaded bezel, to fit each unique gemstone, until it is encased. My beadwork is NOT attached to the stone, just well-fitted to it.
The straps are strung on cable, which is made of 49 strands of stainless steel microwire, coated with nylon to protect it from abrasion, rated at a minimum of 10 lb test strength.

When you look at these, bear in mind, I am NOT a photographer. I guarantee this is prettier in person! I took these photos in natural daylight and do my best to accurately portray the colors as they look in real life.
